RULES OF THE POPE VISIT TO MAURITIUS DRAW: PBO No: 18/11/13/3897
The Promoter of the Draw is Radio Veritas (“The Promoter”).
The following printed terms and conditions are the complete rules in respect of the Pope to Mauritius Draw (“The Draw”).
It is deemed that by purchasing this ticket that you abide by these terms and conditions and that you agree to them as they stand without amendment.
The cost of a ticket to enter the Draw is R29,352.00, (Twenty nine thousand three hundred and fifty two Rand) (“The Ticket Price”). An electronic ticket confirmation will be emailed to all entrants upon receipt of the Ticket Price.
The financial regulation of The Draw will be provided by an Independent Auditor.
The total value of The Prize will be approximately R29,352.00 for ONE person. All flights ex-Johannesburg (incl. airport taxes), accommodation in a 4-star resort (sharing) with breakfast and dinner, lunch for four days, restaurant, resort taxes, transfers, travel insurance, travelling on air-conditioned luxury buses, English-speaking guides, entrance fees as per itinerary (www.fowlertours.co.za). No entertainment, extra travel insurance, tips, telephone calls, laundry costs, gifts and any other items of a personal nature are included.
The winner (one adult) together with a partner must be in possession of or be able to obtain a valid passport suitable for travel. In addition they must be able to obtain visas for entry into the country of destination. They will be responsible for the costs of obtaining visas and passports and for any personal expenses over and above the spending money provided, and any other extra insurance requirements.
In order for the Promoter to fix flight bookings, hotel bookings, etc, the Winner must provide the name of the person that will be taking up the prize by no later than the 15th August 2019.
Airline flights, hotel accommodation, etc, are subject to availability at time of reservation and can only be booked through the Promoter or the Promoter’s Agent. The airline tickets are not transferable to another airline and have no cash value. The accommodation is not transferable and has no cash value. All airline flights will be on a confirmed basis. Once a booking has been confirmed by the prize winner, no changes are permitted. If a booking is cancelled, no alternative airline tickets will be issued and the airline tickets will be deemed to have been used by the prize winner and the winner will have no further claim against the Promoter or the Promoter’s agents. The prize winner shall abide by and be subject to the airline’s published terms and conditions of carriage.
The Pope visit to Mauritius trip will take place from: 6th September to 13th September 2019.
The prize winner will be chosen by means of a lucky draw or in another manner determined by the Promoter. An Independent Auditor will adjudicate the draw. The winning ticket will be drawn on Air (576AM) between 8,30 and 9am on 15th August 2019. The prize winner will be notified telephonically at the time of the draw or in writing and does not have to be present at the draw.
A total number of 2000 (two thousand) tickets only will be offered for sale. If insufficient tickets are sold to cover the cost of the prize and the expenditure the prize will be a cash amount as determined by the auditors whose decision will be final and binding on all entrants. The cash prize will be limited to R10.000 (ten thousand rand) or 65% of the Net Proceeds whichever is the lesser.
The Auditor, life partners or immediate families are not eligible to enter The Draw.
Where a cheque is used to make payment of The Ticket Price and where such a cheque is not met by your financial institution for whatever reason, the ticket shall automatically become null and void. The cost associated with the deposit of such cheques shall be that of the cheque writer and unless these costs are paid by the purchaser prior to the draw, the Promoter reserves the right to have the ticket withdrawn from the draw.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of an Independent Auditor who will oversee the draw will be final on all aspects of the draw and no correspondence will be entered into.
The ticket holder, by accepting this ticket, holds harmless and indemnifies The Promoter, its trustees, its members, its executive committee members, its suppliers, contractors and sponsors against any liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury sustained by the prize winner whilst utilising The Prize or as a consequence of The Prize or for any loss, damage or injury, howsoever arising.
The Prize Winner will undertake that he/she is fully appraised of the rules and conditions pertaining to The Draw.
The prize winner by accepting the prize, assigns all rights to the Promoter to publish his or her names and photographs in any promotion, print, point of sale or public relations material for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of the winning draw.
If required as a result of changes in legislation by the Minister of Trade and Industry or the Lotteries Board or any other Competent organ of the legislative government, the Promoter shall have the right to terminate the Draw with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event, all participants hereby waive any rights that they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature what so ever against the Promoter, its distributors, agents and/or sponsors.
The transferring of the Prize will be subject to the Promoter’s approval. Should the Prize not be taken up for any reason, the same will be the subject of a separate draw and shall be allocated in terms of this Draw to another prize winner.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute The Prize with another prize of similar commercial value.
All participants in the Draw must be over the age of 18 years of age as at 15th August 2019. No person who is an un-rehabilitated insolvent, under legal disability, a juristic person, a person who has been removed from an office of trust on account of misconduct or who has been convicted of an offence under the National Gambling Act No 33 of 1998 may participate in this Draw.
The Promoter reserves the right not to award any prize to any aforesaid person.
The financial administration of this Draw will be reviewed by an Independent Auditor who will issue a letter of Factual Findings in connection therewith.
